I used Pebbles Inc. chalk for the background.  The image is printed on X-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Farmhouse Paper, ribbon, Wild Orchid flowers, Martha Stewart border punch and Joy! Crafts die.  The DT on the Ching Chou Kuik Challenge Blog always does such amazing work.  I was honored to join them!  I hope you'll head on over to check out there gorgeous projects, and to play along in their challenge.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Matilda Boo Goes Back to School

Good morning everyone! We have a brand new challenge for you all over on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog! The theme for this challenge is 'School Rules'. We want to see projects from you that are school related. You can find lots of fantastic school themed images over in the Lacy Sunshine Online Store.  For my project, I used the adorable 'Matilda Boo Goes Back to School'.  Isn't she a-dorable?

The Copics I used are: skin - E50, E51, E53 & E93; hair - E71, E74, E77 & E79; clothes - R11, R20, R14, R17 & R02; hat - B93, B95, B97, B91, BG10, BG11 & BG13; shoes - W2, W3 & W5; backpack - E33, E35 & E37.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Steampunk Angel

Hello everyone in blogger land!  Today I am sharing a card I made for the new Anything Goes challenge in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group.  You might remember that last month we started adding an Optional Theme to our AG challenges, and the this month it is 'Things With Wings'.  I love this theme!  It's funny though, because my first instinct was to look at fairy images, which I love to color, but then I saw this image called Steampunk Angel and decided to challenge myself with something different!  I've never done anything Steampunk before, so that alone was a challenge!  But hey, that's how we grow, right?  I am very happy with the result...what do you think?

The Copics I used are: hair - R81, R56 & R59; dress - BV20, BV25 & BV29, stole - E40, E42, E43, E47 & Wink of Stella (clear); wings - E71, E77, E79, C1, C3, C5, Y21, Y26, Y28 & white gel pen.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Graphic 45 paper, Gold paper (I've had forever - no clue where it is from), flowers, Prima wooden clock, Prima hat pins, and dies from Memory Box and Tim Holtz.  I cut the Memory Box gears die twice - once in gold, once in burgundy.  I cut the gold ones apart and layered them over top of the burgundy one for dimension.  I would love to know what you think!

I hope you will pop on over to the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group and become a member (if you aren't already).  The DT has some beautiful projects to share with you, and we invite you to play along with our challenge 'Anything Goes & (optional) Things With Wings'.  Thanks for taking a look!

Marie Antionette

Hey there Blogger Land!  It's time for a brand new challenge on the Creative Knockouts blog!  This week our theme is 'Anything Goes' - it doesn't get any easier than that, right?  We are sponsored by SLS Lines, and they are giving away an awesome prize - a $10 gift certificate to their store.

For my card, I am using this very cool and beautiful image called Marie Antionette.  I just love all of her hair, and those cupcakes are so cute!  I had so much fun coloring her! I'd love to know what you think.

The Copics I used are: hair - V09, V06 & V01; cupcakes - E13, E35, E37, R22, R27, RV000, RV02, RV04, RV13 & RV14; bow - YG01, YG17 & YG23.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Autism Fairy Breanna

Happy Monday morning everyone!  I'd love to share my card for the brand new challenge on the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog! Our theme is always 'Anything Goes', and this week we are sponsored by Di's Digis who are giving a $10 Gift Voucher to the winner.  Great prize, right?  For this challenge we were able to use any image by any stamp company, so I made an easel card using Autism Fairy Breanna by Faery Ink.  I gave this to my daughter, and she really loved it:)

The Copics I used are: hair - R02, R11, R14 & R17; eyes - Y21, Y26 & Y28; dress - E40, E42, E71, E77 & E79; wings - YR0000, YR00, YR02, B0000 & Wink of Stella (clear).  The image is printed on x-press paper.

I used foam tape behind the image (I do this with every image I cut out), and folded her wings forward a bit to make them 3D, like they were coming off of the page.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper and quote by Webster's Pages, lace, ribbon, and dies by Spellbinder and Joy! Crafts.  I especially loved the quote 'Always Remember, You Are Loved', as I made this for my daughter.  I'd love to know your thoughts!  And please head on over to the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog to check out the other beautiful DT work, and to play along in our new 'Anything Goes' challenge.  Have a great week!

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Farmhouse Paper Company, sentiment sticker from MME, flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid, and ribbon.  I chalked the edges of the paper with Colorbox (chestnut roan), and I used Pebbles Inc. chalk for the background of the image.

Please pop on over to the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge Blog to see the other amazing work my our DT.  While you are there, we invite you to play along with our 'Use a Sentiment' challenge too! Have a great day!

Annabelle Melancholy Moppet

Hi everyone!  It is time for a brand new challenge over on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog!  I had so much fun with the theme of this one - Weird and Whimsical.  We want to see projects that are somewhat 'strange'...think Tim Burton. For my project, I am using the image Annabelle Melancholy Moppet. Don't you think she's perfect for this theme?

The Copics I used are: hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; eyes - YG93, YG95 & YG97; lips - R56 & RV32; hat - V93, V95 & V99; clothing - V93, V95, V99, YG93, YG95, YG97, B12 & B16; shoes - W5, W7 & W9; bench - E71, E77 & E79; bird - W2, W5, W7 & Y17; flowers - Y17, Y32, B12, B16, E42 & E47. The image is printed on x-press paper.

Even before I started coloring her, I knew I was going to have to use paper and stickers from the Graphic 45 line 'Olde Curiosity Shoppe'.  It is one of my favorite paper lines ever!  I also used Bazzill cardstock, tulle trim, flowers from WIld Orchid, and dies by Memory Box and LaLa Land Crafts.  So not what I normally create, but I love it!  I might have to try this theme again sometime!  Please hop on over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog to check out the other 'Weird and Whimsical' projects by the amazing DT, and to play along with this fun challenge!  Thanks for stopping by:)

Heartstrings - ABM Progressive Challenge

Hey there everyone!  We are kicking off a new Progressive Challenge in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group today, and this new image is sooo stinking cute!  Every month Mi Ran creates a new image that is used for the Progressive Challenge. If you participated in last month's challenge, the image is free to you. If you're new to our challenge, you can buy the image at a reduced rate, and as long as you participate (enter a project into our challenge) the next month's image is free.  Sweet deal! For more details check out the pinned post in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group.  Here is my project using 'Heartstrings'...

The Copics I used are: hair - BV20, BV25, BV29 & 100; dress - YR14, YR16, YR18 & Y17; shoes - C1, C3, C5 & C7; hearts - FV2.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Doodlebug paper/die cuts (Haunted Mansion), lace, ribbon, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  The papers are from a really cute Halloween line I've been itching to use, and for some reason I felt like she was the perfect one for it!  I think I wanted to be sure not to make it didn't look too much like a Valentine's card, and I went to the opposite end of the spectrum, lol.  I'm really pleased with how she came out though:)  I hope you'll join us over in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group for this challenge!  Thanks for stopping by, and have an awesome weekend!

Eleanor and Pickles - Play Ball

Happy Friday everyone! I'm here to share my DT project for the brand new challenge over on the Crafting-With-Friends Challenge Blog.  Our theme is 'Anything Goes', and this week we are sponsored by one of my favorites - Lacy Sunshine.  For my card, I am using the adorable Eleanor and Pickles - Play Ball. Isn't she sweet?

The Copics I used are: hair - E11, E13, E15 & E18; sweater - YR02, YR14, YR16 & YR18; pants - B91, B95 & B97; shoes - W1, W2, W5 & R35; flowers - R32 & R35; homeplate - E40, E42 & E43; Pickles - R11, R20, YG03, YG17 & YG23. The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Jillibean soup, twine, and sticker from Basic Grey.  For the baseball, I backed it with an 'Action Wobble Spring'.  It's hard to see in the picture, but it bounces off of the page!  I've had the springs in my stash for about 3 years, and this is the first time I've ever used them, lol.  It's a really cute effect - I might have to find another opportunity to use them!

Thanks for taking a peek.  The other DTs have great projects to inspire you, so please head on over to the Crafting-With-Friends Challenge Blog to check them out and give them some love.  While you're there, we would love for you to play along in our challenge!  Have a great day:)

Back to School

Good morning everyone (or evening, depending where you call home).  We are kicking off the new challenge over at Creative Knockouts and would love for you to join us! This wee we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps, and the prize is a $10 gift certificate to their store!  How awesome is that?!?

The challenge this week is to use a 'Recipe' to make your project.  The recipe is as follows:
3 Embellishments (may be 3 of the same kind, or 3 different)
2 Patterned Papers
1 Image
1 Sentiment

Please make sure your project has all of the items listed above to be eligible for the prize.  The image I am using this week is School 4 - Teen, which seemed appropriate, since our kiddos are back in school this week.  Here is my card using the above recipe:

The Copics I used are: hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; shirt - YR31, Y17 & Y21; pants - B91, B95 & B97; shoes - C1, C3 & C5; bag - E31, E33, E35 & Wink of Stella brown glitter pen.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Websters Pages paper & sentiment sticker(Hall Pass), 2 flowers, and a 'First day of school' button.  Here is a close up of the sentiment.  "What We Learn Becomes a Part of Who We Are".  I just love it.

I do hope you'll check out the new challenge, and share your project using our recipe!  You can find all of the other awesome DT projects on the Creative Knockouts blog (and head over to the DT blogs to give them some love, if you've got the time!).  Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty Flower Girl

How is everyone's week going?  Mine is going way too fast!  Lots of birthdays, and my kiddos go back to school in less than 2 weeks!  That means school clothes shopping, supply shopping, haircuts...oh my!  Seems like it's something each day.  I was able to sneak in a little quiet time to make my DT project for Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge Blog for today!  Our theme is 'Frame It', and we are sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps.  I was so excited when I saw this new digi...I just had to color her!  You can find Pretty Flower Girl and lots of other great images in their shop.  Here is my 'Frame It' card:

The Copics I use are: hair - E42, E43, E47 & E49; dress - BV20, BV25, BV29 & V95; flower - R20, R22, R24, R27, G0000, G00, BG11 & BG13.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Crate Paper (Poolside), lace and flowers from Wild Orchid.  For the frame, I used a scalloped circle die, and carefully lined up a smaller circle die inside it.  I taped them to hold them in place, ran them through my cuttlebug, and viola!  I had a frame! I then cut the image using a slightly larger circle then the one I used in the frame, and I layered my frame on top of the image.  Super easy!  I hope you'll join our 'Frame It' challenge on the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge Blog, and check out the other beautiful DT cards while you're there.  We're a friendly bunch, and love to see lots of pretty entries!  Have a great rest of your week!

Marie Antionette Dollie

Happy Thursday everyone!  What are you working on?  If you're like me, you probably have a few projects in front of you!  I can definitely work on a deadline, but I definitely prefer when I have time to work on things as they speak to me:)  Yesterday I finished up another monochromatic card for the challenge in the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  If you haven't already, you should check it out!  It's really awesome seeing the different colors everyone is using.  For my newest go at it, I used this sweet image Marie Antionette Dollie.  I hope you like her in violet!

I only used Copics from the 'V' family: V000, V01, V22, V28, V93, V95 & V99.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, Sherri Baldy paper, Wild Orchid flowers, and dies by Memory Box. It was hard finding embellishments to match, so I went a bit more simple with the card.  Still works, though, I think.  I hope you're playing along with our challenge!  Please head on over to the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group and share your creation.  I'll look for you there! Have a great day everyone.

Little Fairy by Julia Spiri

Hi!  Popping in real quick to share a card I made last night.  Have you seen the images by Julia Spiri?  I was recently introduced to them, and they are darling.  I bought a few, and just had to color up this cutie Little Fairy.  Isn't she sweet?

The Copics I used are: hair - E35, E37, YR23 & Y21; clothing - RV10, RV52, RV55, YG01, YG17, YG23, YR02 & YR14; flowers/purse - B000, B00 & B02; wings - BV000, Y000, G000, B0000, YR000, R0000 & R01.  I also added Wink of Stella (clear) to the wings.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from my stash (I've had it so long, I honestly have no idea which paper line it's from), doily, cheesecloth, ribbon, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  I also used Pebbles, Inc. chalk around the image, and added frantage.  I think I've mentioned, I have a slight addiction to that right now, lol.  Thanks for taking a peek!  Hope you have a fun day.  No crafting for me today - my kiddos start school next week, so my day is filled with school related business:)

Exciting Announcement!!!!

Hi everyone!! Oh my...I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.  Samantha (my daughter) and I have joined the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Design Team!  Not only do I have the chance to be on the DT for an amazing stamp designer, I am on the team with my daughter!  Samantha is an Official Junior Lacy! I am so proud to work with her and all of the other amazing DT members.

The brand new challenge on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog is 'Super Hero "It's a Bird, It's a Plane...".  For her creation, Samantha has used  Super Bows to create this amazing card.  I really love the quote she added.  So much fun, right?  Can you believe she's only 13 years old?  I love what she made.

Samantha used Copics to color the image.  We didn't write down the numbers, but will next time!  For the card she used paper from my stash, Lace, and a sticker from Glitz Girls.  She definitely shows strength in her Super Hero card!

Samantha would like to enter this into the following challeges:
Simon Says - Kids Challenge

For my card, I am using Glitter Girl, so of course I had to add some shimmer and shine!

The Copics I used are: hair - RV23, RV25 & RV29; clothes - BG000, BG01, BG05, RV10, RV52, RV55, C1 & C3; bag - E31, E33, E35, Wink of Stella (gold & blue); shoes - E71, E77, E0, E3 & W5. The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from my stash, lace, ribbon, Wild Orchid flowers, Tim Holtz dies, and frantage.  I sprinkled the frantage around to appear to be 'thrown' from her hands (she is Glitter Girl, after all! On behalf of Samantha and myself, we thank you for stopping by!  We also invite you to check out the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog to check out the amazing DT projects, and to play along in our 'Super Hero' challenge.  Enjoy your day!

Rose With Thorns

Heeeeyyyyy everyone!  We've got a fun new challenge over in the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  If you're not already a member, I invite you to join us.  Her images are amazing, and the group is very warm and welcoming!  I have to admit, making a monochromatic project was a definite challenge for me - I haven't done this before.  But, I love a good challenge, and it turned out to be a lot of fun!  I am using the image Rose With Thorns for my card.  She's a very dramatic image, so she was perfect!

The only Copics I used for this are: E40, E42, E43, E47 & E49.  I used Pebbles Inc. chalk to color the background of the image.

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by DCWV and MME, lace, embellishments by Prima and Maya Road, skeleton leaf from Wild Orchid, flowers from Prima, and Memory Box die.  I used an edge distresser on all of the edges of the paper. Not too bad for my first try, I think.  I hope you'll join us for our 'Monochromatic' challenge over in the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  Have a great day!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafting by Designs - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Anything Goes
